Our History

Kline Rostocil Construction began as Kline Construction in 1980, founded by Larry Kline, a Northeast Ohio native who learned the masonry trade from his father. After years as a project manager, Larry launched his own company, building a reputation for quality, reliability, and diverse expertise across commercial markets.


In 2016, the company was renamed Kline Rostocil Construction to reflect Vice President Nathan Rostocil’s leadership and growing role in its continued success and expanded focus.

1980

KCC Founded by Larry Kline

Larry Kline founded Kline Construction Corporation (KCC) as a residential masonry subcontracting company

1988

Expansion into Concrete & Excavation

KCC began providing concrete and excavating services to enhance its masonry services

1993

Contracting

KCC began providing commercial general contracting services

1997

KCC’s First Veterinary Hospital Project

KCC was awarded the masonry and excavation contract for the new North Ridge Animal Hospital in Madison, OH to be built by Jim Parmenter of TI Construction from Albuquerque, NM. Jim enlisted the help of KCC in providing quality trade subcontractors for the project. This became KCC's first veterinary hospital project

2000

Vetcon

Larry and Jim formed a joint venture named Vetcon, Inc to build veterinary hospitals nationally

2001

Vetcon pt.2

Larry bought Jim's share of Vetcon and KCC began to focus on the veterinary or "Controlled Environment" market

2004

Nate Rostocil Joins KCC Full-Time After Internship

Nate Rostocil spent a semester as an intern with KCC in his senior year at The University of Akron. Nate graduated with a degree in Construction Engineering Technolgy, as well as a degree in Civil Engineering. Nate accepted a full time estimating and project management position with KCC upon his graduation

2006

KCC Shifts Focus to National General Contracting

KCC ceased providing masonry, excavation and concrete subcontracting services to grow its national presence in the veterinary and controlled environment commercial General Contracting market

2015

KCC Emerges as a National Leader in Animal Care Construction

KCC became a national leader in the construction and renovation of animal care facilities

2016

KRC Formed: leadership Transition and New Ownership Path

Nate becomes vice president. Larry and Nate agree to a ten-year buyout and added Rostocil to the company name, becoming Kline Rostocil Construction (KRC), and establishing the transfer of ownership for continued success and longevity of the company

2016

KRC Expands into Broader Commercial Markets

KRC expands its focus in the commercial general contracting market becoming established in the dental, human medicine, retail, food service and general office markets

2025

The History of Today

Kline Rostocil Construction still prides itself on the values that were made 45+ years ago. With focuses on quality workmanship, reliable service, and timely project completion, this history will continue on into a legacy.
